In the absence of a dedicated vocal percussionist, our group attended a virtual beatboxing workshop during last night’s rehearsal with the very talented Melinda Packer, who is a vocal percussionist, violinist and educator and does VP for the a cappella group S#arp Attitude, recently featured on Sing it on!

I’d like to say that now we’re all beatbox pros, but we’ve got a lot of work to do to get to that point! We learned some valuable skills that we will be putting into practice in the coming weeks and debuting at our concert on December 10 (mark your calendars!).
